East Boynton Beach Little League All-Stars ROCK!
District 7 hosts an annual All-Star Tournament at the end of the regular Little League season. It has grown to include 9 year-olds and recently Coach Pitch players. However, officially, every Little League is eligible to send three All-Star teams into postseason play per Little League International rules.
The 9-and-10-year-old All-Stars (comprised of 10 & 9-year-old players), 11-year-old All-Stars, and the Little League team (comprised of 12 & 11-year-old players) advance beyond district play.
Not all divisional winners advance beyond the state tournaments, but the chance to play with the finest Little League players in Florida is a dream come true for many kids every summer.
All Little League All-Star teams start playing in their District. The 9-and-10-year-old All-Stars, 11-year-old All-Stars, and the Little League team progress to Sectional Championships or Division Championships before going to State.
Only the 12-year-old All-Star teams have the chance to go all the way to Williamsport, Pa.
All-Star players are chosen to represent their League based upon recommendations by the coaches. A selection committee made up of coaches and League administrators make the final cuts before players tryout. The players who make the teams are put together according to their age division.
